Cariboo Sams
Cariboo Sams is a local chapter of the B.C. Good Sams (www.bcsams.ca), which is a provincial chapter of the international Good Sams (www.goodsamclub.com) organization.
We have members from Prince George, Quesnel, Williams Lake and 100 Mile House. Our main group is from the Williams Lake area and we are in the process of starting a “sister” chapter in Prince George.
We are a group of R.V. owners (all types) that get together for 4-6 summer campouts and a Christmas party each year.
Our goals are fellowship and camping locally on weekends during the summer months. We plan out the locations each year at our spring meeting (April). We also try occasionally to campout with other provincial chapters – mainly the groups from Kamloops and Merritt. There is also a provincial campout (Samboree) for all the provincial chapters (various locations).
Our campouts are not compulsory and are in a relaxed format. Usually we play some group games on the Saturday, have group potluck dinner on the Saturday night and a group breakfast on the Sunday mornings (cooked by the men).
The fees are $10.00 per rig per year and approximately $6.00 per rig per campout – covers the constant coffee pot and the Sunday morning breakfast.
